Over 100 educational infrastructure projects in Jammu and Kashmir face significant delays due to funding shortages.
These projects, approved years ago, remain incomplete, hindering educational development in the region.
The Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) was established to address these delays.
In the first phase, 13 languishing projects received administrative approval with a budget of Rs 6 crore.
An additional 14 projects are proposed for approval in the second phase to expedite completion.
Despite these efforts, 114 projects remain incomplete, with a total estimated cost of Rs 11.21 crore.
Of the total cost, only Rs 4.50 crore has been released and utilized over the past years.
The government must prioritize funding and timely completion to enhance the region's educational infrastructure.
