Earlier this exam was to be held on 8 and 9 March 2025, but now it has been postponed indefinitely. The Odisha Police Recruitment Board has issued an official notice saying that the Combined Police Service Examination – 2024, which was to be held on 8 and 9 March 2025, has been postponed for the time being. How many recruitments was this exam being conducted

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 933 posts. It includes posts for different departments, such as:

Sub-Inspector (SI) – 609 posts
Sub-Inspector (Armed) – 253 posts
Station Officer (Fire Service) – 47 posts
Assistant Jailor – 24 posts

What will be the pattern of the recruitment exam?

The Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination will be conducted in three stages:

Written Exam – It will be OMR-based and will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test – It will be qualifying only.
Document Verification – In this, the educational qualifications and other documents of the candidates will be checked.

Written Exam Pattern

The written exam will have three papers:

  • Paper-1: General English and Odia Language- Maximum Marks: 100
    Time: 90 minutes
    Type: MCQs
  • Paper-2: General Studies- Maximum Marks: 200Time: 180 minutes
    Type: MCQs
  • Paper-3 (Only for Station Officer – Fire Service post): Technical Paper- Maximum Marks: 200
    Time: 180 minutes
    Type: MCQs

Odisha Police SI Exam 2025 Rescheduled: Check Latest Official Notification

The total written exam will be of 500 marks. 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer, while there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
