After completing the 10th grade, every student dreams of stepping into a new phase of education, where they choose their stream and work towards their ambitions. If you’re one of those students eagerly waiting to get admission into class 11 under the Bihar Board, then there’s good news for you. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna, has officially released the notification for Bihar Board 11th Admission 2025 for the academic session 2025–2027.
Bihar Board Inter Admission Notification is Out
The BSEB issued the admission notification on 22nd April 2025, announcing that students can apply for class 11 through the OFSS (Online Facilitation System for Students) portal. The application process started on 24th April 2025, and the last date to apply has been extended till 8th May 2025, which means you still have time to get enrolled.
Whether you want to study Arts, Science, Commerce, or Vocational courses, you can apply easily from your home through the online portal. All it takes is a few steps and documents to secure your place in one of Bihar’s reputed intermediate institutions.
Affordable Admission Process to Fulfil Your Dreams
The total fee for the application process is just ₹350, which includes ₹150 as the application fee and ₹200 as the college or school fee. For students belonging to economically weaker sections, this is a very affordable opportunity to continue their education without a heavy financial burden.
Over 17.5 Lakh Seats Available
This year, the Bihar Board has announced that over 17.50 lakh seats will be filled across the state under the 11th admission process. A total of 10,006 institutions, including both government and private intermediate-level schools, are part of this large-scale admission drive. This means a huge opportunity lies ahead for students who are passionate about continuing their education and building a better future.
No Admissions in Degree Colleges
It’s important to note that intermediate admissions will not be held in degree colleges. As per the latest decision of the education department, only recognised intermediate-level schools and institutions will be eligible for admission through OFSS. So, while filling out your application, make sure you choose only the eligible institutions. Once selected, the admission cannot be changed or modified later.
How to Proceed Once Your Name Appears in the Merit List?
After the merit list is released and your name appears on it, you’ll need to visit the assigned institution with all your original documents and passport-size photos. You must also carry the Intimation Letter, which will mention the time and date for your admission. You will have to pay the admission fee directly at the institution, either in cash or via bank draft. Once you complete this process, your admission will be confirmed.
If you want to get into your preferred institution but don’t find your name in the first list, don’t worry. You can wait for the second or third merit list, which will be released shortly after the first round.
Important Documents and What Happens to Them?
During the admission process, some documents are submitted and returned, while others are retained by the school. Students are advised to keep multiple photocopies of all their certificates and get in touch with the respective institution for clarity on which originals will be returned and which will be kept for records.
