Army Agniveer Exam Overview

What is the Agnipath Scheme?

Initiated by the Government of India, the Agnipath Scheme recruits youth aged 17.5 to 21 years for a four-year military stint. After that, a part of them will be taken into regular service, while the remaining receive Seva Nidhi payment and skill certification.

Who can Apply?

Any Indian citizen within the given age and qualification brackets can apply. Both men and women can apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Minimum: 17.5 years

Maximum: 21 years

(As of recruitment year. Born between 01 Oct 2004 to 01 Apr 2008 for 2025 cycle)

Educational Qualifications

Agniveer (GD): Class 10 pass with 45% aggregate

Agniveer (Technical): Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Math & English

Clerk/SKT: Class 12 with 60% aggregate

Tradesmen: Class 8 or 10 as per trade

Physical Standards

Height ranges from 162 cm to 170 cm according to area

Chest expansion: Minimum 5 cm

Must clear PFT (1.6 km running, pull-ups, etc.)

Selection Process

Written Test (CEE)

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) includes GK, Math, Reasoning, and Subject-specific.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Eligible candidates are summoned for rally-based physical tests such as:

Beam (pull-ups)

9 feet ditch jump

Medical Examination
