The 10th Maths exam was held on 10 March 2025. Many students found it concept-based, while some found it time-consuming and difficult. Teachers also believe that students who had read NCERT books well and solved previous years’ question papers found this exam easy. According to Mohammad Sharif Salmani, senior maths teacher at Orchids International School, Mumbai, the question paper was completely in line with the CBSE Class 10 sample paper. This gave students a good opportunity to prepare for it in advance.

He said, “The paper had both formula-based questions as well as conceptual questions. While the MCQs were simple, one set was a bit longer and took more time to solve. The case-based questions required attention and logical thinking to understand.

Which topics were easy and difficult?

Probability and Statistics: These sections were easy and scored. Triangles and Linear Equations: These questions seemed difficult and confused many students. Teachers believe that students who have clear concepts and manage their time well could solve the paper easily.

What can we learn from the maths exam?
