Organizational Behavior refers to the behavior of individuals and groups within organizations and the interaction between organization members and their external environments. It is a study to create more efficient business organizations. A study has to maximize the output from individual and group. It is to improve the overall performance of human resource in the organizational environment.

According to Stephen P. Robbins, “Organizational Behavior is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structure have on behavior within organizations for the purpose of applying such knowledge towards improving organizations effectiveness”.

According to Robert E.Callahan, “Organizational Behavior is a subject of management activities concerned with understanding, predicting and influencing individual behavior in organizational settings.”

According to Fred Luthans, “Organizational Behavior is the result of interaction and interdependancy between formal organizational and the human factors variables”.
