The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has finally announced the much-awaited HPSC PGT Computer Science Teacher Recruitment 2025, opening doors to thousands of teaching aspirants across the state.
HPSC PGT Computer Science Recruitment 2025
The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) officially released the recruitment notification on 27 April 2025. The application process started on 28 April 2025 and will remain open until 2 May 2025. The written examination for the same is scheduled to take place on 15 June 2025. This is a tight schedule, and every second matters.
Number of Vacancies: A Huge Opportunity for Teaching Aspirants
Under this recruitment, a total of 1711 vacancies have been announced for the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Computer Science role. Among these, 78 posts are for the Mewat cadre, while the remaining 1633 posts are for the rest of Haryana. This large number of posts shows the state government’s commitment to improving the quality of computer education in government schools and reducing unemployment at the same time.
Application Fee Structure Based on Category
To apply for this prestigious recruitment, candidates need to pay the application fee based on their category. General, OBC, and EWS candidates will be required to pay ₹1000, while SC, ST, and female candidates of Haryana, as well as physically challenged individuals, need to pay only ₹250. Payment is to be made online using credit/debit cards, UPI, or net banking.
HPSC PGT: Eligibility Criteria You Must Fulfil
To be considered eligible, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (M.Sc..), MCA, or B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Engineering from a recognised university with at least 55% marks. Additionally, they should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit in the 10th, 12th, graduation, or post-graduation.
How to Apply Online for HPSC PGT Computer Science Teacher
The application process is simple and fully online. Interested candidates need to visit the official HPSC website (hpsc.gov.in). Once there, they should head to the ‘Apply Online’ section and select the link for “PGT Computer Science Teacher (Advt. No. 26/2023)”. First-time users must register using their Aadhaar details.
Selection Process for HPSC PGT Computer Science 2025
The selection process consists of a written examination, which is scheduled for 15 June 2025. Candidates who score well in the exam will be shortlisted based on a merit list. Those selected will be called for document verification, where original educational and personal documents will be checked.
List of Documents You Will Need
Applicants are required to upload and later present a set of documents during verification. These include academic certificates (M.Sc., MCA, B.E./B.Tech), mark sheets, identity proofs (Aadhaar, voter ID), passport-size photograph, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), HTET/STET certificate, and Haryana domicile certificate.
