If you fall into any of these categories, then you must have a caste certificate made in the correct format.
Where to get the caste certificate made
Caste certificate can be issued by the following officers
- District Magistrate
- Additional District Magistrate
- Collector
- Deputy Commissioner
- Additional Deputy Commissioner
- First Class Magistrate
- Taluka Magistrate
- Revenue Officer
- Tehsildar
If the caste certificate is not made online in your state, then you can get it made by visiting your nearest Tehsil, SDM office or Block/Block office.
Validity and correct date of cast certificate
The caste certificate for RRB Group D recruitment must be made before the last date of application (22 February 2025). If your caste certificate is older than this, then you will have to get a new certificate made. EWS certificate will be valid only for the financial year 2024-2025.
Special instructions for SC/ST candidates
If you fall in the SC or ST category, then you have to keep in mind that your caste certificate should be in the format approved by the Central Government. The format of the certificate is given in the recruitment advertisement, which you can download and get it prepared in the same format.
Special instructions for OBC-NCL candidates
OBC candidates have to keep in mind that their caste certificate falls in the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) category and this certificate should be made in the format prescribed by the Central Government. This certificate should have been issued after 1 April 2024.
If the central-level caste certificate is not made in your state
If the central-level caste certificate is not made directly in your state, then first you have to get a state-level certificate made, then on the basis of that, a central-level certificate can be issued.
It is not necessary that you use the caste certificate format given in the recruitment advertisement, you can also get the certificate by visiting your nearest tehsil office.
