Hello friends, Sometimes some people make such statements which not only reflect their thinking but also hurt the entire society. Recently, one such case has come to light, which filled the people of Bihar with anger and sadness. Deepali Sah, a teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), said such derogatory words about Bihar that it created a ruckus in the whole country. In a video that went viral on social media, Deepali called Bihar ‘the worst state in the country’ and said very negative things about the people there.
What did Deepali say?
This incident is from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jehanabad district of Bihar, where Deepali Sah was teaching in a primary school. In the video, she expresses her displeasure over her posting and says, “I could have got posting anywhere in India, but I got Bihar. This is the worst area of the country. I will remember this posting for the rest of my life. The real truth of Bihar is that it is completely ruined. People here do not have any civic sense at all.” Not only this, she also said “If India is called a developing country, then the reason for that is only Bihar.”
Big action taken after the video went viral
As soon as the video went viral on social media, people got angry. The teacher started getting criticized from all sides. Seeing the matter escalating, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) suspended Deepali Sah with immediate effect. She has been removed from Jehanabad and ordered to report to KV Mashrakh (Saran district) during the suspension period.
Strong reaction from leaders and the general public
There was also a sharp reaction from the political world on this entire matter. Samastipur MP Shambhavi Chaudhary condemned the teacher’s statement and thanked Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan KVS for its prompt action. At the same time, Jehanabad MP Surendra Prasad Yadav took a tough stand on this and said that *”Such statements are an insult to the identity of Bihar. I will write a letter to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Union Education Minister demanding the termination of this teacher’s job.”
Why are the people of Bihar hurt?
Bihar is not just a state but has been a stronghold of culture, civilization and education. From the land of Nalanda and Vikramshila universities to the land of UPSC toppers in modern times, Bihar has given countless scholars, administrative officers and leaders to the country. In such a situation, making such indecent comments by a teacher is highly condemnable.
People reacted strongly on social media
After this video surfaced, #RespectBihar started trending on Twitter (X), Facebook and Instagram. Many users demanded Deepali’s dismissal, while some criticized her by highlighting the glorious history of Bihar and the hard work of the people here. Friends, every state has its own strengths and challenges. It is easy to criticize any place, but it is more important to understand the problems there and work towards improving them. Teachers especially should choose their words carefully as they are role models for children.
