Among these top scorers, Rajasthan has emerged as the frontrunner, producing the highest number of perfect scorers.
Rajasthan Leads the Pack in Top Scorers
Out of the 14 toppers, 12 belong to the general category, while one each comes from the OBC and SC categories. This year, over 12.58 lakh students appeared for the exam, making it one of the most competitive editions of JEE Main ever. The students who achieved the perfect 100 percentile come from various states, with Rajasthan leading the way with five toppers. Here’s a breakdown of where the top performers come from:
- Rajasthan – 5 students
- Delhi – 2 students
- Uttar Pradesh – 2 students
- Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, Maharashtra – 1 student each
This reflects the immense dedication and hard work of students from across the country, proving once again that success in JEE Main requires not just talent but also relentless perseverance.
What is the NTA Score and How is it Calculated?
Many students and parents wonder how the NTA score is different from percentage marks. The NTA score is a normalized score, not a direct percentage of marks obtained. Since JEE Main is conducted in multiple shifts, difficulty levels can vary. To ensure fairness, NTA uses a normalization process to compare students’ performance across different sessions. The marks obtained by candidates are converted into a scale from 100 to 0, ensuring that no one is at a disadvantage due to varying difficulty levels.
JEE Main 2025 Conducted in 13 Languages
To make the exam more accessible, JEE Main 2025 was held in 13 languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Not just that, the exam was also conducted in 15 international cities, including Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Washington, and Munich, giving Indian students abroad an equal opportunity to compete.
What’s Next?
While the first session of JEE Main 2025 is over, students who didn’t perform their best still have another chance! The second session of the exam will take place in April 2025, allowing candidates to improve their scores.
Based on the best score out of the two attempts, students will be ranked, and the top performers will move on to the prestigious JEE Advanced 2025 the golden ticket to securing admission into IITs, India’s top engineering institutes. A huge congratulations to all the toppers! Their dedication and hard work have set an example for future aspirants. And for those who didn’t get their desired score this time, don’t lose hope. There’s still time to prepare for the second session. Keep believing in yourself, stay focused, and success will surely come your way!
