In general the lap and wave winding consists of a number of coils connected in series and number of such series circuits are connected in parallel. The coils are diamond shaped and are made in special forming machines. The coils may be single turn or multi turn coil, and a turn consists of two conductors.

A design of transformers consists of two windings coupled through a magnetic medium. The two windings work at different voltage level. The two windings of the transformer are called High voltage winding and Low voltage winding. Both the windings are wound on a common core. One of the winding is connected to ac supply and

Program testing and debugging refer to the tasks of detecting and removing errors in a program, so that the program produces the desired results on all occasions. Every programmer should be aware of the fact that rarely does a program run perfectly the first time. No matter how thoroughly the design is carried out, and

The types of DC motors with field coils are classified as Series wound motor, Shunt wound motor, Compound motor, and Separately excited motor. Series wound motor The armature and field coils are in series. The motor exerts highest starting torque and has greatest no load speed. At light loads, the motor will run at high

By now you must be aware that C has certain features that are easily amenable to bugs. Added to this, it does not check and report all kinds of run time errors. It is therefore, advisable to keep track of such errors and to see that these known errors are not present in the program.

Temperature of the molten plastic is an important factor to be controlled in injection moulding. The design of cooling system operating temperature of the injection moulding is affected by the following factors. Type of polymer used. Length of flow within the impression. Wall section of moulding length of the feed system. Number of impressions in

Extruder is one of the most common processes used to create plastic components for further processing. Extruder machine is also similar to that of injection moulding machine. The process consists of feeding the powdered plastic from the hopper into the heated chamber. A rotating screw carries the material forward and forces it out through the heated

Blow moulds are relatively simple in design and construction when the predominant blow moulded products are bottle and container. The blow moulding process are made of aluminum or other lightweight metal. It can be either machined or cast. Requires a high degree of cooling throughout the mould. It requires several vents at parting line and

A standard mould for injection moulding is divided in two sides: cavity side and core side. A cavity side consists of sprue and runner system through which the plastic melted from nozzle enters into the mould. A core side consists of core, de moulding system and ejection system. Since this type of mould have one

We have discussed so far various features of C language and are ready to write and execute programs of modest complexity. However, before attempting to develop complex programs, it is worthwhile to consider some programming techniques that would help design efficient and error free programs. The program development process includes three important stages, namely, program
